To promote the release of Ardbeg Grooves, Ardbeg wanted to take people back to the groovy 60’s on their home island of Islay. To introduce Ardbeg to a whole new audience, a roaming party toured festivals around the UK all summer, completed with a tricked-out VW Van, live music and whiskey tasting,

For my part, I designed a psychedelic wrap for the Ardbeg Bus, capturing the spirit of Islay and the unique flavours of Ardbeg Grooves.

As part of the experience, visitors were given a tasting mat to highlight the whiskey’s tasting notes. Initially I used a manipulated font, but to capture an authentic 60’s gig poster feel, I ended up hand lettering the various tasting notes with illustrations.
