Elephant Walk

This is a story about a woman called Carolyn Morris Childers and her elephants.

Carolyn passed away in 2015, aged 79. As a child, she once received a Get Well card with an elephant on it, which sparked a lifelong love of the creatures.

In her lifetime she travelled the world many times and purchased model elephants everywhere she went. Over the years she amassed an absolutely colossal collection; Her dream was to exhibit them, but she sadly died before this was possible.

The task fell to the President of her foundation, Robert W. Ramsey to try and make the exhibition a reality. Ms. Childers knew that she wanted it to be called "Elephant Walk" after a 1954 Elizabeth Taylor film she adored.

In 2019, Robert contacted me about creating concept art to help sell the idea to potential venues. He wanted the exhibition to tell the story of Ms. Childers, her travels and her elephants, all in a child-friendly, enchanting way.

Elephant Walk is still looking for a home, so if you know any museums, galleries or event spaces that may be interested, please get in touch! It would be amazing to make Ms. Childers' final wish a reality.

The exhibit wouldn’t just be a stuffy gallery. It would be a place where families can relax together and take in the atmosphere in comfortable surroundings.
